MagMAX™ Express磁珠处理仪所采用的操作原理是反向磁珠处理（MPP）技术。与外置磁铁方法相反，无需转移液体，而是将磁珠从微孔转移到包含特殊试剂的微孔中。磁珠的转移借助于表面套上一次性特殊设计的塑料磁头套的磁力棒。仪器无需任何吸取或抽气部件或装置即可工作。MagMAX™24机身小巧，节省空间，操作简便，通量适中。
